Respiratory Support Botanical Blend

Traditional Herbal Support for the Respiratory System

A carefully formulated botanical blend created to support the lungs and respiratory system, particularly during times of seasonal illness, congestion or when the chest feels heavy and unsettled.

This alcohol-free formula combines soothing herbs for the respiratory tissues with warming, expectorant botanicals traditionally used to help loosen and clear mucus and support comfortable airways.

Rooted in Traditional Herbalism

Mullein — A gentle respiratory herb traditionally used to soothe the airways and support lung health.

Plantain — Traditionally valued for its soothing affinity with irritated respiratory tissues.

Marshmallow Root — Rich in natural mucilage, helping to coat and soothe dry or irritated mucous membranes.

Elecampane Root — A warming expectorant traditionally used where the chest feels heavy, congested or mucus is difficult to clear.

Thyme — An aromatic respiratory herb traditionally used to help loosen mucus and support clear, comfortable airways.

Ginger Root Provides gentle warmth and stimulation, helping to balance the cooling and soothing herbs within the formula.

Slowly extracted into organic glycerin and spring water to create a smooth, alcohol-free whole-plant preparation.

FAQ's

What is in your respiratory tincture and what does it do?

Our Respiratory Tincture is a time-honoured lung tonic, hand-crafted from a powerful mix of herbs:

  • Elecampane Root – A traditional expectorant and bronchodilator, supports clearing chest mucus and soothing respiratory tissues.
  • Echinacea – Immune-supporting herb, often used to mitigate the severity of colds and respiratory infections.
  • Ginger Root – Warming and anti-inflammatory; helps ease sore throats and congestion.
  • Cinnamon Bark – Adds gentle circulatory support and has antimicrobial qualities.
  • Licorice Root – Naturally sweet and soothing for irritated throats, supports adrenal resilience.
  • Elderflower – Helps reduce fever, lighten congestion, and support immune function.

Combined, these botanicals work synergistically to soothe the airways, support breathing, and gently bolster respiratory immunity.

How do I take it - and at what dosage?

Shake well. For general support or early onset of symptoms:

  • Take 1–2 dropperfuls, 3–4 times per day at the first sign of symptoms or as needed for ongoing respiratory wellness.
  • Children (8+ years): Half the adult dose (check with a herbalist for younger children)

For short-term intensive use, you may take the dose every 2–3 hours (max. 4 times daily). Always consult a healthcare provider for children, pregnancy, or long-term usage.

Are there any side effects or cautions?

This blend is generally well tolerated when used as directed. However, certain individuals should take extra care:

Not recommended if you are:

  • Pregnant or breastfeeding (due to the presence of elecampane and licorice)
  • Living with autoimmune conditions, unless under the guidance of a qualified practitioner
  • Taking medications for high blood pressure, immune suppression, or diuretics without professional advice

Always consult your herbalist or healthcare provider if you’re unsure.
